Deadline for submission of applications for next year's Spring tour is June 30 of this year. Notification of acceptance will be made by Sept 1.
Criterion for inclusion in The Elephant’s Eye Studio Tour
We're looking for artists who are vital, stretching and reaching to express their own voice in whatever medium calls to them.
Elephant’s Eye will consider only accomplished, contemporary artists.
To be clear: artists working with traditional subject matter won’t qualify. Strict realism in painting or sculpture doesn’t serve the purpose of this tour. Nor does traditional craft or historical reproduction. (We feel these genres are sufficiently showcased in the county so do not fall within our purview.)
Official tour locations are limited to Central and Upper Bucks County. Artists living outside that area are welcome to contact us for “visiting artist” information.
All locations are responsible for preparing their venue for public access.
All locations must be open during the full run of the show: 4 public days and 1 day reserved for students and seniors for private visits.
Artists are responsible for collecting and remitting sales tax. They are also responsible for insuring their studios for this event.

Due to the volume of applicants, we can’t guarantee individual responses except for those we feel are appropriate for this tour. Also, the tour will always be limited in the number of studios it can accommodate for the sake of keeping the experience intimate and achievable (touring all of the studios over 4 days). So we may not be able to include every qualified applicant - we will however have a waiting list for the next available opportunity.
